History

Agricultural school students once lived in boarding houses. It was free for state scholars, while private students paid 200 dinars a month. Up to 30 students aged 16 to 19 were admitted each year, mostly from villages.

Life was strict: up at six to the bell, classes in the morning, work on the estate in the afternoon. Still, people remember the friendships and dances.

From 1948 boarding houses were independent institutions. After sixty years, the boarding house closed on 15 October 1965.

Forty years later, in 2005, a new dormitory opened in the attic created by the 2004 renovation of the protected old building, with 70 places in 20 rooms.

Due to high demand, a new wing was planned from 2010 and built from 2018; since 2019/20 the dormitory has 105 places in 39 rooms.

The tradition continues, with new stories and friendships that last a lifetime.
